About Chlorinated Paraffin Wax (CPW)

Chlorinated paraffin wax (CPW) is a chlorinated hydrocarbon made by chlorinating paraffin fractions. It is used as a secondary plasticiser and flame retardant in PVC, and as an additive in metalworking fluids, sealants, paints and coatings.

Uses and applications of Chlorinated Paraffin Wax (CPW)

• Secondary plasticiser in flexible PVC cables, hoses, sheets and footwear.
• Flame retardant additive in plastics, rubber and textiles.
• Extreme pressure additive in metalworking and cutting fluids.
• Plasticiser in sealants, adhesives and caulks.
• Paints, coatings and printing inks.
• Leather fat-liquoring and rubber compounding.

Grades, forms and packing

Chlorinated paraffin wax is supplied as liquid grades of different chlorine content and viscosity, and as solid powder grades for flame retardancy. The exact chlorine content, pack size and COA are shared with the quotation. It is often used with paraffin wax based products and other PVC additives. Prices depend on grade, quantity and packing, and are confirmed with each quotation. If you need a sample for trials before a bulk order, mention it in your enquiry.
