Fluorspar briquettes are compacted blocks made from fluorspar (calcium fluoride, CaF2) fines with a binder. Steel plants and foundries use them as a flux to make slag more fluid and help remove impurities.
Briquettes are supplied in standard sizes, made from fluorspar fines and a binder. CaF2 content, size, moisture and binder type depend on the lot and are shared with the quotation, along with a COA on request. Packing is in jumbo bags or HDPE bags, with trial lots for new users and regular lots for plants. We also supply fluorspar lumps and fluorspar powder if your process needs a different form.
Store under cover on a dry, level surface. Keep briquettes away from rain, since moisture can weaken them and add water to the melt. Wear gloves and a dust mask while handling broken pieces, and refer to the SDS.

Fluorspar lowers the melting point and viscosity of slag, which helps the slag absorb impurities and separate cleanly from the metal.
Lumps are mined and sized pieces of fluorspar. Briquettes are made by pressing fines with a binder, which makes use of fine material and reduces dust.
CaF2 content depends on the lot. We share the exact figure with the quotation and a COA on request.
