About Ins903 Glazing Agent

INS 903 is carnauba wax, a hard natural wax from the leaves of the Brazilian carnauba palm. It has a high melting point and gives a hard, glossy finish, so it is used as a glazing agent and in polishes and cosmetics.

Uses and applications of INS 903 Carnauba Wax

• Glazing agent for confectionery, chewing gum and coated tablets, where permitted.
• Coating for fresh fruit to give shine and reduce moisture loss.

Grades, forms and packing

INS 903 carnauba wax is available in refined light grades (often called T1 and T3) and darker grades, as flakes or powder. The exact grade, pack size and COA are shared with the quotation. Storage and handling

Store in closed bags in a cool, dry place away from heat and flames. Carnauba wax is stable but combustible; handle molten wax with heat-resistant gloves. Refer to the SDS.
